Our Philosophy & Approach
Kula is the process of growth and maturation; the path one takes to become a leader and make their own history.
It is a path never trekked alone. According to the wisdom of the Kôngo, to become a leader means to be a helpful being, the community's medicine, the principle of community. Kula is therefore a reciprocal process: a leader is only as great as their community and vice versa.
This wisdom undergirds the criticality of nonprofit leadership, and shapes how we support said leaders:
